Tracking Bolt is a type of Crossbow Bolt in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Crossbow Bolts are the ammunitions used to fire Crossbows which Geralt can use to deal damage to opponents from a distance. By default, Geralt has access to an unlimited amount of the basic Bolts, but can also obtain a number of various types of more specialized bolts which have special effects and properties that make them more effective in certain situations.
Tracking Bolt Attributes in The Witcher 3
Tracking Bolt has the following properties:
+6 Piercing Damage
+5 Silver Damage
+100 Armor Piercing
+100% Chance to cause bleeding
120 sec Effect duration
This Bolt is guaranteed to cause bleeding on a successful hit. Unlike standard bleeding effects, the bleed applied by this Bolt makes it easier to track Monsters that teleport such as Wraiths, those that burrow underground such as Nekkers and those that submerge underwater such as Drowners and Water Hags. Targets hit leave blood trails on the ground which are highlighted with Witcher Senses.
