Tinker, Hunter, Soldier, Spy is a Treasure Hunt Quest in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt from the Hearts of Stone DLC. Treasure Hunts are optional Quests not required to finish the game. They are usually activated by interacting with special objects that provide information or clues on the Treasure Hunt objectives. Most treasure hunt quests involve following Geralt's Witcher Senses in order to find the treasure's final location. Complete Treasure Hunts to gain additional rewards. Activate this quest by interacting with the Bloody letter in Novigrad, it can be found: on a body atop the watchtower

The nature of Geralt's trade means finding corpses is a normal part of a day's work. This time the body was found atop an observation tower near the village of Mohrin. Upon closer inspection, Geralt found the man's throat had been slit – and had some highly interesting papers in his pockets...

Walkthrough for Tinker, Hunter, Soldier, Spy The Witcher 3

  • Activated by: Bloody letter
  • Location: Brunwich, Mohrin Village

This Treasure Hunt is activated by obtaining Bloody letter. It can be found: on a body atop the watchtower

East of the Isolated Hut signpost is a watchtower at Morhin Village. The top of the tower will have a corpse that will have a Bloody letter and an Incrusted Key. Read the letter then track the quest to the treasure location in the water. Use your witcher Senses to find the chest in the water and loot it to complete the quest. It will be underneath the dock.

Journal Entry:

The letter revealed the man had been a Nilfgaardian spy. Disguised as a tinker named Krister, he had been following the movements of knights from the disbanded Order. It seems Krister had not exercised due caution, for his spy career had been cut short by a slash of a renegade knight's blade. The most interesting information in the letter, however, concerned the location of the considerable stash of coin Nilfgaard had devoted to this spying operation...

Geralt was able to find the spy's stash, which he then eagerly emptied of its contents. Not the noblest of actions, perhaps, but was it not better the coin went to the witcher's pouch and not the grubby paws of the Order's bandits?
