Superior Golden Oriole is a Potion in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Potions are special concoctions that Geralt can imbibe to gain a plethora of short-lived effects that are highly beneficial both in and out of combat. However, they also have adverse effects on his blood Toxicity that need to be managed. Potions can be used at any time from the Inventory, or they can be assigned to your Consumables Quickslots for easy access. They have a limited number of charges but can be replenished by Meditating for at least one hour while possessing one or more units of Alcohol.
This Potion is upgraded from Enhanced Golden Oriole.
Superior Golden Oriole Potion Attributes in The Witcher 3
The Superior Golden Oriole Potion has the following properties:
Extended duration. Poisons now heal instead of doing damage.
This fully upgraded version of the Golden Oriole Potion now turns all poison effects into healing for Geralt, restoring his Vitality by an equal amount of the damage dealt. This is an incredibly powerful potion to use when fighting opponents that primarily use poisonous effects such as Arachas. Its duration is also triple that of the base Potion.
Do note that using equipment that grant resistance to poison can cause the effects of this Potion to become finicky. In particular, the four armor pieces of the Viper School of Witcher Gear, which cumulatively grant up to 100% Poison resistance may cause the health regeneration effect to not trigger from environmental hazards such as gases, but poisonous Monster attacks should still trigger it properly.
Superior Golden Oriole's effects have a base duration of 180 secs, but this can be improved with every single point invested in any Skills in the Alchemy Skill line.
