Sunken Treasure is a Treasure Hunt in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Treasure Hunts are optional Quests not required to finish the game. They are usually activated by interacting with special objects that provide information or clues on the Treasure Hunt objectives. Most treasure hunt quests involve following Geralt's Witcher Senses in order to find the treasure's final location. Complete Treasure Hunts to gain additional rewards. Activate this quest by interacting with the Water-damaged letter in Velen, it can be found: On a corpse northwest Hangman's Alley.
While in Velen, Geralt stumbled upon a letter to a certain Molke. Figuring it was of no use to its addressee now, he took the document with him, with the intention of reading it at a later date.

This Treasure Hunt is activated by obtaining Water-damaged letter. It can be found: On a corpse northwest Hangman's Alley.
The Hidden Treasure location is found northwest of the Hangman's Alley Signpost towards the shore. Check the shoreline. A corpse will be just out of the water with a Water-damaged letter. Read the letter and follow your Witcher Senses north into the water.
You may encounter some Drowner enemies here. Continue towards the search area. Dive to find two lootable objects and

I know you don't smuggle no more. That you've set aside plenty of coin and ain't interested in the risk, just wanna enjoy time with your wife and kiddies. But I gotta ask you for a favor. We gotta move one more load - and it's the last, I promise. It's a simple job, couple of chests, risk's minimal and the reward's substantial. Please, do it - if not for the gold, then at least for old time's sake.
