Scavenger Hunt: Viper School Gear is a Scavenger Hunt Quest in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Scavenger Hunts are optional Quests not required to finish the game. Scavenger Hunts usually involve hunting down Diagram pieces in a set. Tracking the quest will lead Geralt to multiple hidden diagrams from the same set. They can usually be activated by first locating one Diagram from the set.
Scavenger Hunt: Viper School Gear grants players a chance to collect the different diagram pieces of the Viper School Gear Set.
While traveling the downtrodden lands of Velen and the former Temerian border regions, Geralt found clues about the location of a set of diagrams for crafting the legendary equipment once worn by the Viper School of witchers. Motivated by curiosity and the prospect of acquiring these priceless objects, he decided to pursue this lead.

Walkthrough for Scavenger Hunt: Viper School Gear The Witcher 3
This scavenger hunt consists of two main pieces. Both pieces of this hunt can be found in White Orchard. Locate either one of the pieces first to activate the quest.
- Diagram Serpentine steel sword
The Steel Sword is found in a bandit camp by the Ransacked Village. The diagram will be on a tower in a chest.
- Diagram Serpentine silver sword
The silver sword is located at the White Orchard Cemetary below the chapel. You may need to clear a wraith if the area hasn't been previously cleared. You will then be free to enter the chapel through the main entrance. You may need to use Aard on the door. This will lead you down to the crypt where you may encounter another wraith. Clear the area again then loot the area. The diagram will be on a sitting corpse.
Looting both diagram pieces will complete the scavenger hunt.
Journal Entry:
After a short investigation Geralt managed to acquire diagrams for every element of the Viper School's famous equipment. He also learned the tragic story of Kolgrim, a fellow witcher who died while trying to escape after being unjustly incarcerated for kidnapping a beekeeper's son.
