Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear is a Scavenger Hunt Quest in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Scavenger Hunts are optional Quests not required to finish the game. Scavenger Hunts usually involve hunting down Diagram pieces in a set. Tracking the quest will lead Geralt to multiple hidden diagrams from the same set. They can usually be activated by first locating one Diagram from the set.
Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear grants players a chance to collect the different diagram pieces of the Griffin School Gear Set.
Geralt came across evidence of the legendary witcher George's equally legendary equipment. Having heard many tales of this gear's extraordinary traits, Geralt decided to investigate.

Walkthrough for Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear The Witcher 3
Begin the quests by obtaining a diagram piece. Locating any of the diagram pieces of the scavenger hunt in any order will activate the quest.
Diagram Griffin steel sword
The first diagram will be easy to get to at Hindhold where you can clear out some guards, endrega workers, and warriors. Clear them and make your way up. Use the ladders and the wooden platforms while clearing the flying Harpy enemies. There will be a wooden door at the corner of the tower towards the top where a corpse slumped against a wooden beam will contain the steel sword diagram.
Another diagram location will be at the Lornruk signpost which is northwest of the Harpy Feeding Ground signpost. If these regions have not been unlocked you can follow Crow's Perch all the way to the top till you hit the water. This is where a wyvern is located. Clear it to be able to search the area. You will need to head into the water. Watch out for the Drowner enemies. Dive down into the area and there will be a cave entrance. This is closest to where the place is power is on land. The entrance will be marked on the map. Dive through the entrance and swim through to the other side til you can climb up the ledge. Loot the chest first then continue up the set of ledges till you reach the ladder then take the stairs and continue making your way up the tower till you reach another ladder. Loot the area as you go. You will eventually reach a door to the way out where you can lower the drawbridge in front. Before you cross, turn around and there will be another ladder just next to the door where you came from. Climb up the ladder and it will lead you to another chest which will contain the silver sword diagram.
Your next location is where you can find all the other Armor Diagram pieces. Head to Dragonslayer's Grotto. There will also be a signpost in this area then drop down where a small entrance will lead you to a number of wraiths. Clear the area and continue through the corridors.
Journal Entry:
Geralt managed to acquire diagrams for all the items that had once been used by the witcher George. While doing so he discovered many previously unknown facts about the famous Griffin School dragonslayer.
