Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear is a Scavenger Hunt Quest in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Scavenger Hunts are optional Quests not required to finish the game. Scavenger Hunts usually involve hunting down Diagram pieces in a set. Tracking the quest will lead Geralt to multiple hidden diagrams from the same set. They can usually be activated by first locating one Diagram from the set.
Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear is a part of the Blood and Wine DLC. It can be start by interacting with Lafargue, the Grandmaster Blacksmith in Toussaint. A number of Scavenger Hunt quests form the Blood and Wine DLC can be activated by interacting with him.
Only once in his life had Geralt ever seen armor made from diagrams hailing from the School of the Manticore. What's more, said suit had been incomplete and, truth be told, the worse for wear. So when the opportunity arose to assemble Manticore gear, and at a grandmaster level to boot, the witcher did not hesitate a moment before setting off in search of what was required.

Walkthrough for Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear The Witcher 3
This Scavenger Hunts can be activated by speaking to the grandmaster smith, Lafargue in the Blood and Wine DLC. You can ask him about the different gear sets to begin each Scavenger Hunt available in the Blood and Wine DLC. He also dispenses the side quest, Master Master Master Master!.
This hunt comes as part of a series of Lafargue's available Scavenger Hunts. The first diagram location for this hunt will be at the Bastoy Prison Ruins southwest of the Astre Ruins. A treasure chest from the treasure hunt quest: The Toussaint Prison Experiment can also be done in this location.
Search the ruins. There will be a tower you can climb with your first diagram piece. The top of the tower will have an opening with a loose brick. This should be highlighted in red with your Witcher Senses activated. The corpse slumped on the wall where you found the diagram will also have the Prisoner's notes. You will need to read them to lead you to the next vocation in the scavenger hunt. Once you read the notes, the objective will update: Go to the cave where Lebioda once stayed. This next location will be southeast of Gélenser Farm. Once you reach the cave, you may need to clear out a panther enemy before you are free to enter. Head in and follow the cave path then you will find a large cavern area with a number of notes and prayers. Check the far wall furthest from the entrance on the south side to find what you're looking for. This will contain Merten's prayer and it will update your objectives. You can then go to Lebioda's temple then search for Merton's tracks once you arrive.
Enter the temple and head straight through the rooms until you reach the final room west. You may need to use Aard to reveal any hidden areas. Watch out for any specter enemies in the temple. This will have a chest on the side table with 2 more Diagram pieces and The Great Beggar's journal. This will update the quest and lead you to the cave with the hidden chapel south of the Palace Gardens signpost. You will need to get through a cave. This will be also marked as the Murky Delve. Geralt will have a purple haze that will cause him to hallucinate. Once you reach the nude women, walk past them and try not to approach unless you want to engage in a Bruza fight. Head deeper into the cave left. There will be a few beggars. Each one will need to be given 10 crowns as alms so that you can clear them. You also have the option to walk past them and face an Archespore instead. Once you are through, you can continue through the cave. kill the 3 kikimore workers here to gain some treasure and continue through the blocked path by using Aard. Head up the path and you will finally reach Lebioda as a hallucination. Loot the small chest by him to gain Merten's notes and another diagram. Read the notes to progress. This will also lead you to the final scavenger hunt location.
Go to the Lake of Cleansing. This will be northeast of Basane Farm. You may need to clear out some bandits before you can investigate the area. Once they've been cleared you can now head to the lake and activate your Witcher Sesnes to locate the item highlighted in red. This will contain the final diagram and Merten's last letter. Read the notes on a scrap of paper to complete the quest.

I venture to say none would have expected these diagrams' owner, the witcher Merten, to convert honestly and truly to the creed embodied in the Prophet Lebioda. Geralt retraced Merten's story and stopped to think how perverse fate could sometimes prove. But he considered the matter but a brief moment, for he had in hand a complete set of diagrams needed to craft gear of the School of the Manticore, and he could now take the drawings to the right craftsman.
