On Thin Ice is a Main Quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
"Every story, even the longest epic, must end, and so this one too now nears its conclusion. Geralt and his friends had acquired the Sunstone and secured the help of Fringilla Vigo. In other words, the long and dangerous process of preparing was over at last and everything was in place for final battle against the Wild Hunt. All that remained was to summon the Naglfar to the shores of Undvik - and straight into their trap.
Every plan looks best on paper. It was no different this time - though every last detail had been seen to, our heroes were still in for many an unexpected danger and difficult moment. Their division of elite Nilfgaardian soldiers was frozen in ice before it could board the Naglfar. Ciri, who was supposed to stay out of the fighting, was forced into the fray to save Geralt. Meanwhile glory-seeking, fearless ( or reckless, some might say) Skelligers rushed into the bay to fight both the riders of the Hunt and the Imperial Fleet at the same time.
Despite all these complications, in the end the allies defeated the Wild Hunt and Geralt slew its king with his own hands. It was too early to rejoice, however - right before his death Eredin revealed that Avallac'h had betrayed the witcher and had his own nefarious plants for Ciri. Geralt did not know whether to trust his enemy's words - but circumstances did not allow for long and careful deliberation."

Make your way to Undvik Isle and get off at Marlin Coast signpost. Enter the camp where you will enter the planning. Avallac'h will activate the Sunstone to summon the wild hunt. Answer how you wish and agree to join Avallac'h beginning the battle or join him later and make your final preparations. Join him at the ship at the pier when ready.
The Sunstone is used and the action begins. You are Ciri, and must defeat the Wild Hunt warriors and hounds. Begin to fight Caranthir, and Geralt will drop in for battle. Avoid his icy orbs and thrusts, timing your rolls to avoid the projectiles and monitor his teleporting. When he is at half health he will summon an ice elemental. Use igni and dodging to make his projectiles hit the golem. When he is down to low health he will summon another elemental. When you deal enough damage a cutscene plays. Geralt enters the fray. As Geralt, dodge his spells and wear him down, attacking him while he summons elementals. The fight will be a long affair so keep your defenses up and be patient with your attacks. When defeated he will port you both into the water, swim up as fast as you can.
Head up to the northeast and drop down and take out the hounds. Make your way onto the ship, defeating enemies along the way. Hop off the ship onto ice, killing more enemies. Head north and board the Naglfar. Your battle with Eredin begins.
Roll and sidestep when he teleports and work your parrying and counters being patient, opting for stabs over combos. His attacks hurt hard so avoid them as much as possible. When he has lost a quarter health, he opens a portal and takes you to the cliffs. Dodge his new ground waves and the orb he summons. If he is covered in ice, use Igni to melt it so you do more damage. Avoid his strong attacks and counter at his last swing. Rol away when he teleports behind you. Dodge or parry any melee and stay close enough to land a blow when there is an opening. His backhands and kicks can't be parried or countered and will stun you.
When Eredin's health drops to less than a third, he will taunt you and gets more aggressve. Keep the defensive approach, landing hits only when there's an opening. Before he goes down, he will open a portal back to the ship. Follow him through the portal and finish him off. He tells you Avallac'h has tricked you and took off with Ciri. Yen grabs you and takes you into the portal. The quest finishes and Tedd Deireadh, The Final Age begins.
