Mourner is a Steel Sword in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Steel Swords form one half of Geralt's primary Weapons which he uses to deal damage to Enemies in combat. Steel Swords are effective against humans as well as non-magical or supernatural opponents such as beasts and some humanoids but are ineffective against most Monsters. They can be enhanced with some Oils to increase their effectiveness against certain targets and some can be socketed with Runestones or Runewords for more bonus effects.
- Note that Damage and Level are not listed due to Damage's dependence on the item's Level, and the randomness of the item's Level when acquired.

How to obtain Mourner in The Witcher 3
Mourner can be obtained as follows:
- Purchased from bandits near the bridge north of Lindenvale. Costs 525
. You can also loot the sword after killing them. The bandits only appear at night. - During the day, you can purchase the sword from Looters in the same area.
- It is possible to obtain 2 Mourners by first paying for one and then killing the sellers and looting their corpses.

After fast traveling from Skellige I found the looters on the bridge at around 9:40 am. It can be found in the morning so I'm unsure what truly triggers this event.
