Walkthrough for The Witcher 3 Funeral Pyres
In No Man's land in Velen you will come across a priest of the Eternal Flame, praying at a shrine for the dead. If you talk to him he'll ask you to burn the bodies of those who fell in battle, so the necrophages don't get them. If you accept, you'll find three targets on your map.
Head to each target and clear the area. Each target will have several low level ghouls around them which need to be killed. Interact with the pile of bodies and Geralt will pour oil on them and prompt you to use Igni to finish the job.
At one of the targets, there'll be a man being attacked by the ghouls, so kill them all and then speak to the man. He will tell you that he is a smuggler, contracted to the priest of the Eternal Flame who gave you the quest in the first place. You're given a choice to kill him, or let him go. Once you've burned all the bodies, return to the priest and confront him. He'll give you a choice, either accept a bribe in return for your silence, or deny him. Either way, you'll get an amount of coin for your trouble.
The Witcher 3 Funeral Pyres Notes & Trivia
- If you use the Igni sign against the priest in the concluding combat, he will die instantly.
