Fools' Gold is a Secondary Quest in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Secondary Quests are optional Quests not required to finish the game. Some of these quests may have a bearing on certain Main Quests or may be a consequence of another Quest.
Fools' Gold can be obtained by speaking to a bandit marked with a yellow exclamation mark roasting a pig at Lurtch in Velen. They offer Geralt a piece of the roast hog much to Yontek's dismay.
During his travels through Velen, Geralt survived many a bizarre adventure, but few more memorable than that which I will now recount. For who would have thought a routine stop in a village strangely empty save a few bandits arguing with a local dunce would end in such a curious fashion? The witcher surely didn't, though he did have his suspicions...
