Destination: Skellige is a Main Quest in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Main Quests are the main storyline of the game that can have a major effect towards the endings. Some of these quests may have dialogue choices that will alter the ending of the game.
Before continuing any Skellige-related side quests that may have been acquired on the continent, the task must be finished because it opens up the Skellige region for exploration.
The search for Ciri had taken Yennefer to the wind-swept Skellige Isles - that is to say, lest your mind fill with visions of our elegant sorceress shivering on some barren rock - it had taken her to a suite of comfortable rooms near Kaer Trolde Castle on the isle of Ard Skellig. Geralt was to join her there and thus set off to the port in Novigrad, where he hoped to find a captain bold enough to brave the pirate-infested waters en route.
After much searching, Geralt found just such a man. A certain Captain Wolverstone had agreed to sail to Skellige. Geralt recovered from his tumultuous landing and eventually reached Kaer Trolde castle – home to Crach, jarl of Clan an Craite. There he discovered all the notables of Skellige had gathered to bury King Bran, who had breathed his last a few days prior. In attendance as well: Yennefer.

- Find a boat headed to Skellige.
- Nearest Signpost: Novigrad Docks.
- Look for the ship's captain at the Golden Sturgeon.
- Pay Captain Wolverstone the requested amount to sail to Skellige.
- Defeat the pirates.
- Go to the port near Kaer Trolde.
- (Optional) Teach Steingrim a lesson.
- Nearest Signpost: Crossroads.

Walkthrough for The Witcher 3 Destination: Skellige
This quest begins after completing the main quest Imperial Audience. Yennefer has already traveled to Skellige and you must arrange to get there by ship. Head to Novigrad's docks and check the 3 possible ships. You will find your ship the Atropos, helmed by Captain Wolverstone. He can be found in the Golden Sturgeon. Pay the fee to book passage and you may leave right away or travel about Novigrad and Velen before departing.
During the journey you are awoken by shouts. Help the crew fend off the pirates and the ship will crash into an iceberg. You come to on a gravel beach where you will meet a man named Steingrim. Speak with him and then take the path east and north. Stay on the path to the Crossroads and go north, turning left just before the gates of Kaer Tolde into Kaer Tolde Harbor. Dismount and head to the far west of the harbor.
Meet up with Yennefer and speak with her and bear witness to the funeral. Speak to Yennefer about what she learned. Crach an Craite will approach and speak to you. After your exchange, the quest concludes and The King is Dead - Long Live the King begins.
