Bolt with Bait is a type of Crossbow Bolt in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Crossbow Bolts are the ammunitions used to fire Crossbows which Geralt can use to deal damage to opponents from a distance. By default, Geralt has access to an unlimited amount of the basic Bolts, but can also obtain a number of various types of more specialized bolts which have special effects and properties that make them more effective in certain situations.
Bolt with Bait Attributes in The Witcher 3
Bolt with Bait has the following properties:
+6 Piercing Damage
+5 Silver Damage
+100 Armor piercing
This Bolt has a special effect which causes red fumes to emanate from the target upon a successful hit. These fumes attract any nearby Monsters, even after the initial target has already died. This effect can be used to lure Monsters away from an area, allowing you to safely pass or to simply give Geralt some breathing room when faced with overwhelming numbers.
