Walkthrough for Family Fortune The Witcher 3

This Treasure Hunt is activated by obtaining  Letter. It can be found: South from Fyresdal, in the Ruined Inn.

There will be a hidden treasure marker right at the Ruined Inn sign post. If not previously cleared, this area will have a number of Siren enemies to clear first before you can safely explore.

There will be a chest in a house next to the water and the monsters nest. Loot the chest to obtain a letter and read it.

Find the treasure using your Witcher Senses. Take a boat from the pier since this will lead you far into the water. There should be a shipwreck towards the south where  more Siren enemies are.

Dive into this area and there will be a chest to loot on shipwreck underwater.

Journal Entry:

 Fjale,
I've got bad news for you. Your father's ship sank off the southern coast of Ard Skellig. Far as I know, there were no survivors. Only a few bodies were recovered. They were already blue and bloated. I could only recognize Jovik by his tattoo. I'll do what I can to prepare the body for the funeral, but brace yourself. It won't be a pretty sight.
I know what was on that ship. Everything you had. So if you need to borrow some coin, don't hesitate to write. Your father and I were bound by blood - I'll never refuse you help.
--Varlind

Geralt found the wrecked ship that had once belonged to Fjale's father. It turned out its valuable cargo was still there - to the witcher's great delight.
