Carnal Sins is a Secondary Quest in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Secondary Quests are optional Quests not required to finish the game. Some of these quests may have a bearing on certain Main Quests or may be a consequence of another Quest.

Carnal Sins can be obtained right after completing Cabaret. Geralt is tasked with finding Priscilla's attacker and bringing them to justice.

Telling this story, my dear reader, will tax me greatly. It is a dark and somber one, encompassing the greatest sorrow my heart has ever known. It all started the day of the grand opening of my cabaret. Everything had been spit-polished to perfection - all that was left was to wait for Priscilla, whose performance was to be the crowning moment of this glorious evening. Yet when the doors of the Chameleon burst open it was not she who stepped inside. Instead, it was a messenger from Vilmerius Hospital. His face pale and his countenance dour, he informed us Priscilla had been badly wounded in an assault - and was currently tottering on the brink of death.

Walkthrough for The Witcher 3 Carnal Sins

Once you arrive at the hospital, you will find Priscilla in a terrible state. The doctor named Joachim von Gratz, explains that she is critical but is expected to live. The doctor also explains that she is not the first victim of this style of attack and others were killed in a similar fashion as to how Priscilla was gravely injured. The doctor then suggests visiting the morgue to see the previous victim's body.

Follow the doctor through the sewers, you will have to fight off several Drowners and a Water Hag in the area. As you accompany the doctor, he will discuss how he tries to prevent attacks from happening in the first place and mentions that even if he believes that Priscilla will surely survive, he still fears for her.

Once you arrive at the morgue, you will need to search for a dwarven carpenter's corpse, it can be found in the nearest room once you climb the ladder, the doctor will lead you to the other one though. When you find the corpse, a cutscene will occur. You can then examine the body to find evidence of the killer's M.O. and then you will be interrupted by the coroner named Hubert Rejk. He and the doctor have a history and are not fond of each other. Their conversation will provide subtle clues so you have to pay attention. Once the conversation ends, Nathaniel Pastodi enters the room and insists that you leave, Hubert tells you that he will update you on any news.

Now you will have three places to investigate, the place where Priscilla was attacked, the place where the carpenter was killed, and Eustace the corpse collector. You can investigate the areas in any order but it is important to note that once you've investigated any two of the locations, approaching the third one will always have a guard approach you and tell you that there has been another murder and the coroner wants to speak to you as soon as possible. When this happens, you can still proceed to investigate the third location as there's no urgency to meet the coroner even if the quest suggests it.

For the place where Priscilla is attacked, you will see some peasants and a prostitute called Whistling Wendy in the area, Wendy will walk away from you if you approach them. Then the gate you entered will suddenly close and three peasants will engage you in a fistfight. Knock them all out and speak to Wendy. She believes that you're the killer and wanted to avenge Priscilla. Continue searching for clues in the area and you will find that the killer jumped over a wall that's too high even for a witcher.

For the carpenter's murder site, approach and knock on the door, and you will hear a voice from the other side and question you, then the carpenter's brother, Gus Meyer will let you in. Speak to Gus and search for clues in the yard. Once you find all the clues outside, try to enter the workshop and Gus will unlock it for you.

For Eustace the corpse collector, you can get information from him by either paying him 200 Crowns and receiving 20 XP for this or by using Axii, which will require Delusion level 2 and receive 35 XP.

Now return to the coroner and speak to him, you can ask him some questions that raise some suspicions about Hubert. Look over the body and Hubert will find a note for the next victim, now you'll need to head over to Vegelbud Residence.

Once you reach the area, Ingrid Vegelbud will welcome you and take you to her mother's room. Once you enter the room, you will find the victim, Patricia murdered and the killer fleeing the scene. Chase the killer and ignore the dogs. The guards will then mistake you for the killer and you will be forced to engage them in combat. When you are almost about to kill a guard, a cutscene will automatically interrupt and lead you back into the house. Ingrid will then defend you and allow you to search Patricia's body. Here you can find a note with the name of the final victim, Sweet Nettie.

Head over to Crippled Kate's and enter the brothel, you will be told the Sweet Nettie is on the top floor. Once you reach her room, you'll see her tied up and about to be tortured by Reverend Nathaniel. You can immediately attack him or engage in a conversation. If you try to hear him out, he will reveal that even if he is like that, he claims that he is not the serial killer. Sweet Nettie will plead for your help and you can either choose to kill Nathaniel, use Axii which will require Delusion level 3, or just simply leave. Do note that you will not be able to find the real killer even if you know who it is if you attack Nathaniel without talking to him first.

After dealing with Nathaniel, go to the warehouse by the docks and you'll find Hubert inside. After a short conversation, he will reveal that he's a vampire and fight you as he transforms into his Katakan form. Once you defeat him, loot his body for Deargdeith and a Katakan Mutagen.

Now go back to the hospital where you'll see Priscilla recovering, Joachim also says that her voice isn't expected to be severely damaged. Dandelion then thanks you and the quest ends.
